The Selangor FC squad is currently in Bangkok, Thailand, to undergo a pre-season training camp in preparation for the Malaysia League campaign, which is set to begin this August.

Throughout this camp, the players are scheduled to take part in four closed-door friendly matches against three Thai League 1 clubs and one Hong Kong Premier League club to assess the team’s level of readiness, as well as strengthen the chemistry among the players ahead of the 2026/27 season. The match schedule is as follows:

• 28 July - vs Ratchaburi FC
• 31 July - vs Tai Po FC
• 4 August - vs Sukhothai FC
• 7 August - vs PT Prachuap FC

In addition to the friendly matches, several team-building activities have also been carried out to foster team spirit and strengthen relationships among the players, officials and coaching staff before the start of the league campaign.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Kim Pan-gon, this pre-season is the best platform to strengthen Selangor FC’s playing identity through the addition of new players, while also ensuring that the team is at its best level mentally and physically.

"This pre-season training camp is to rebuild the team’s playing style based on the strengths of the 2026/27 squad, as well as ensuring that the new players can adapt and achieve chemistry with the team as quickly as possible.

“This is an important step in shaping Selangor’s identity, with an emphasis on building strong chemistry, relationships and understanding, both mentally and physically. We want every player to understand the Selangor way, trust each other on the pitch, and build a strong foundation in preparation for the new season."

Kim Pan-gon also hopes that the supporters will continue to stand firmly behind the team throughout the new season, "All the preparations being carried out are for the club and also the supporters. We want to fight together and defend the fortress that we have built since last season, while continuing to strengthen it.
